Joint TLI1 by Division W & P

Fellow passionate, personable and priceless Toasties out there,
We are pleased and proud to have you prominent people with us in this new term.
How was your term starting? Finding it challenging leading without a clue?
Search no more and attend the incoming Joint TLI by Divisions W and P hosted by TARC Toastmasters Club where Toastmasters Are Really Cool !!

About the Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) in District 51
This term the TLI 1 team is headed by Sue Ding, DTM with the theme
‘LET’s LEAP and LEAD!’

TLI is the authorized training for Club Officers.
Where newly-elected club officers receive training on how to best serve their clubs,
Where Toastmasters from across the Division come together to network, share ideas, and be inspired and
Where any Toastmaster can expand skill sets as a communicator and a leader with additional educational sessions.

Why attend?
Meet, network, and have fun with hundreds of other Toastmasters. Share ideas and resources. Many people say, “I wish I attended a TLI sooner!” Sooner is now.

Your term of office will be filled with chances for you to:
Obtain – fresh perspectives
Build – teamwork skills
Help – clubs and members develop goals for improvement
Serve – as a facilitator to individual and club success
Inspire – members and clubs with enthusiasm, fidelity and a sense of responsibility for themselves and others
Learn – to develop your capacity to translate values and strategies into productive actions

Club Officers learn from seasoned Toastmasters and share their experiences to benefit themselves and their Clubs. Get motivated among leaders with heart!

Lastly, also to gain your elusive DCP POINT!
A club must have at least 4 officers trained at both the TLIs (TLI1 and TLI2) to achieve a point in the Distinguished Club Program (DCP).

Who can attend?
Of course the club officers from Division W and P!

However, we welcome all Toastmasters members to come and learn about Club officer roles and benefit from powerful workshops on many topics by our passionate presenters, many of whom are professional speakers and coaches.

Regardless of whether you’re a club officer or a member, you are welcome to attend, join in the fun, and meet the leaders of your district.

Just notify the organising team early 🙂

Lunch provided?
Of course! Food and drinks served will be good enough for you to concentrate in the training.

How do I get there?

By Car :
Refer the map enclosed on how to get there.
There are ample lots nearby, and it is safe and FOC!

By Train :
Take the Putra line and get down at Wangsa Maju station. Cross the road via the pedestrian bridge and take either the Rapid KL bus or Metro bus.
All buses that stop there will pass by TAR College.
So, rests assure you will find TARC easily.
The only difference will be the cost and timing.
For Rapid KL bus: RM1.00, waiting time slightly shorter
For Metro bus: RM0.50, waiting time slightly longer

What to bring?
A passion for excellence
Enthusiasm and commitment
An open mind to learn

Basically, YOURSELF!

What to wear?
Business/Formal is highly encouraged!
However, business casual is allowed.

STRICTLY no jean, slippers, shorts, or anything that shows off too much.

What if I really cannot make it – When is the next available TLI training?
The only upcoming one around Klang Valley will be hosted by Division G.
It will be on the 28 of July 2012 at Wisma IJM.
